Service to the scientific community and the society
As a female scientist, I believe that engaging in outreach activities is crucial to inspire and mentor the next generation of women in STEM, combat gender stereotypes, and promote diversity in the field.
[2024 - to date] Institute of Physics membership :
2024 - Topical chair of the "Novel and super-resolution microscopy I and II" sessions at Photon 2024, Swansea Arena, Swansea, UK.
[2024 - to date] I am taking part in the Lindau Alumni Network as a 2024 Lindau alumna. Since 1951, the network is built to bring together scientists from all around the world to exchange ideas on how to tackle global challenges.
[2024- to date] Vice-Chair of the Nonlinear Optics Technical Group (OPTICA)
[2023- to date] Co-organiser of the 2023-2024 "Landau seminars", fostering a rich scientific environment benefiting university staff and PhD students.
Previous engagement
[2018 – 2022] President and co-founder of the University of Sussex Optica student chapter (formerly OSA). I organised outreach events for postgraduate and undergraduate students and staff, e.g. "quantum talks", "women in STEM talks", and laboratory tours for students and for the public.

I took an active part in outreach activities for inspiring new students to enrol in STEM degrees: my interview was reported in the “LET US INSPIRE YOU” booklet distributed at the National Quantum Technologies Showcase, in London on Nov 15th, 2019.
